The Sable Project Summer Residency offerings are for adult artists of all ages and disciplines seeking space, time, and a place off-grid to focus on their art. We are specifically looking for artists confident in their creative processes, willing to work on solo projects, and comfortable living outdoors in community.

We recommend writing your answers in a separate document, and then copy and pasting into the form.

Our application fee contributes to the cost of processing applications and planning our season. We also hope that it inspires potential applicants to pause and submit their best work. Please contact us at apply@thesableproject.org if you have any questions or concerns.

Note on Art Samples:
Please send samples of your work to apply@thesableproject.org with the subject: "Work Samples / Summer Artist 2026 / Your Name". If you have a website, you can enter the URL in the application form in addition to this email of your work samples. We will not be able to process your application until we receive your work samples email.

Please follow these parameters when selecting your work samples:
- Visual Artist (painters, sculptors, etc): Up to 10 images of your work.
- Dancer/Performer: Up to 3 videos of your work and up to 5 images.
- Musician/Audio: Up to 3 tracks.
- Writer: Up to 3 written works (multiple poems can be combined in a single doc).
- Photographer/Video: Up to 10 images or 3 videos/films.
- If you have multiple artistic mediums, please send samples that represent each of them within these parameters.
