Come enjoy the first wood-fired pizzas of the season and some Lifting and Healing sound from Madagascar!

June 14
Hip Hop Dance Performance by The Rhythm Riderz
and work-in-progress showings by Sable Artists in Residence.
Part myth, part memory, and all heart, "The Legacy" tells the story of the Rhythm Riderz, a homegrown Vermont breaking crew through humor, movement, and mayhem.

June 27
Musical Clowning & Puppetry with content clown
Sable’s resident jester.
This evening will also feature choreographic work from Sable’s Director of Good Food & Healthy Artists, Maggie Segale, and work-in-progress showings by Sable Artists in Residence.

July 11
Acrobatic Dance Theater by Big Teeth
and work-in-progress showings by Sable Artists in Residence.
Brattleboro, VT-based movement collective Big Teeth performs on the ground and in the air!

July 25
Scrolling Stories by Crankie Artists
Maia Gilmour, Storm Welch, and Eric Bass & Ines Zeller Bass
and work-in-progress showings by Sable Artists in Residence.
Intimate crankie performances by two Sable Alumni and the founders of Sandglass Theater.

August 8
Kids & Family Night with DJ Tone Balone and Emily Schubert
Interactive arts activities, a dance party, and puppet shows for all!

Poetry by Toussaint St. Negritude and VT’s Poet Laureate Bianca Stone
and work-in-progress showings by Sable Artists in Residence.
An evening to celebrate poetry with two of Vermont’s acclaimed poets.

Queer Dance Party led by Gay4Disco
All are welcome for our end of season Queer Dance Party! Disco/new-wave hits played live by Burlington-based coverband GAY4DISCO!!! Come shake your groove thing!!

What is Food + Art? F+A is where we invite you up to Sable! We open up the Sable Land for family-friendly community gatherings, off-grid in the middle of the Green Mountains. An evening to hang out with your family or friends, enjoy the beautiful view and meet the Sable Artists. BYOB and blanket!

When is Food + Art? Always Fridays! 5:30 - 8:30 pm, bi-weekly the end of May - September

How much does it cost? $5-$20/person suggested donation is much appreciated to keep our performing arts series running. We believe in paying artists for their work, and wish we could pay them more! But fear not, no one is turned away for lack of funds!

Accessibility? Sable is an off-grid community gathering space. We are located on the side of a mountain, thus the landscape is hilly and somewhat uneven in places. However, the amphitheater/stage can be accessed by car and we can hand-deliver pizza to you, if need be! We have one portable toilet located on the trail between the Parking Lot & Dragon Oven Hut. Folks with mobility needs are welcome to use our Artists-in-Residence’s bathroom (with a ramp) next to the Dragon Oven Hut. Parking? General Parking is in a grassy lot, a little further up Taggart Hill Road from Sable’s main entrance, on the right. 
More accessible parking is directly inside Sable’s main entrance, next to the gardens. If you need one of these closer spots, you’re welcome to enter via our main driveway. (For best results, make a wide turn into and out of the driveway.)
