Marcus Jade Demery is a Guitarist / Vocalist / Photographer / Pastel Artist / Poet/Writer from Indianapolis, Indiana. While at Sable Marcus is working on personal exploration, alternative tunings on guitar, Protest Blues / Blues Music, and poetry.

I recently reconnected with my roots down in New Orleans, LA. I spoke and connected with a Vodou High Priestess that connected with Papa Legba. He blessed and watches over me. Down there I learned about my family history in the deep South, their part in Civil Rights and protecting Women’s Rights, Education, Great Migration. I learn I am a distant relative to Sam Chatmon (of the Mississippi Sheiks), who was the half brother of Charley Patton, the godfather of Delta Blues. This inspired me to continue the tradition of Blues. And Be Proud to Be Black.
