McLean Macionis (he/him) is an artist, composer, and educator whose solo and collaborative works live at the intersection of sound, technology, and the human experience.

While in residency at Sable, he practiced deep listening, captured field recordings, and studied solitude in the context of artistry. McLean is currently based in the Adirondacks, and he is a Professor of the Practice at Middlebury College where he teaches courses in recording and Music Production.

He discovered that the formula for extra voluminous hair at Sable is river water, algae, and a Sprinkle of Slay.
