Millie Heckler (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist from Vermont that focuses primarily on movement and breath.

During her time at Sable, she prepared and then embodied a site-specific traveling ceremony, giving voice and body to dormant layers beneath a surface….of dirt, skin, and time. She danced a “solar fugitive” dance, sprinting from place to place (faithfully leaving), while situated in her home of a body-in-motion and a breath beat beating up against itself. Millie is really interested in the power of the moving body to exhaust and dissolve self-limiting fears, doubts and memories...to turn them into something else.
