Application Open for 2024
We are currently looking for photo and video interns for our summer season! You will work closely with Director Jessica Lee to hone your photo-taking skills and strengthen your creative voice. Come join the adventure, and help us document the process.
Details:
This internship has a small stipend that helps to cover travel and other expenses. We also provide a tent platform, a tent if needed, food, and supplies (even digital camera equipment if you need it - 5d Mark II, and sound recording equipment).
As part of living at Sable, you will be expected to participate in the everyday tasks of living off-grid, including farm work, kitchen duties, and general upkeep of the land. See the residencies/workshops page for more details.
We are looking for interns to document all aspects of Sable, including artwork in progress, daily living, our Food and Art Series Gatherings, our Water in the Wood End-of Summer Showcase, and the transformation of the Sable Land. In regular check-ins we ask for a certain amount of edited content consisting of video/photos for the website, and a few selects for social media and newsletters. All deliverables and expectations will be discussed in depth at the start of the internship.
We also hope for you to be creative with the work! If you want to conduct interviews and create a full-length documentary, or set up photo shoots, or create a pseudo-reality show, the possibilities are yours to realize.
If you wish, you will be given time and supplies to work on your own creative endeavors.
